How to prepare for my appointment?

Before getting a tattoo:

  • Drink water.
  • Hydrate your skin.
  • Have a good night sleep.
  • Eat before the session and if necessary bring some snacks with you.
  • Wear something comfortable and preferably black (once the ink gets on your clothes it’s almost impossible to wash it out.)
  • Restrict certain substances for 48h prior to getting a tattoo, ensure that you don’t drink any alcohol.

How to take care of my new tattoo?

1. Remove the bandage after 2-4 hours or as instructed by the tattoo artist. If it is stuck, moisten it with warm water to remove it carefully.

2. Wash the tattoo gently with lukewarm water and mild, fragrance‑free soap, using only your fingertips. Avoid scrubbing or rough motions, then rinse thoroughly so the skin feels clean and comfortable.

3. Gently pat the area dry with clean, disposable paper or a fresh, soft towel, avoiding any rubbing. Make sure all excess moisture is removed so the skin feels dry and comfortable before moisturizing.

4. Apply a very thin layer of Bepanthol Tattoo over the clean, dry tattooed skin, then gently massage it in small circular motions until the cream is fully absorbed and the surface no longer looks shiny.

5. Repeat the cleaning and moisturizing process 2-3 times a day, during the first 2-3 weeks, until it is completely healed.

Avoid scratching or rubbing, even if it itches. Protect it from the sun with clothing, and once it’s healed, use sunscreen to keep the color vibrant for longer.
